BRIGID'S BORD
Brigid
was known as the Irish Queen of Charity
and under her patronage and with her prayerful assistance, we dedicate this
service to all works of Charity.
Clothing & blankets, as well as food and money, are collected
and then shared with the poor directly by our volunteers.
We collect for:
women who are returning to the work force who need good clothing,
as well as for the homeless who
need warm coats, sweaters, socks, hats, scarves, blankets, and sleeping bags.

Prayer/Song:
"Mary of the Gaels"
Oh Mary of the Gaels,
Dear Abbess of Kildare!
Our Irish queen of charity,
Anamchara, ever fair!
We pray to you our Bride,
Be with us as our guide,
And if our Faith should falter,
Be here Brigid as our guide.
Help us always to remember
The poor we may not see,
And keep us ever mindful
Of the gift that we may be.
Be our soul-friend ever faithful,
That we may not depart
From faith in Christ, just as you taught
From your own faithful heart.
Oh keep us ever mindful
Of this heritage we share
Of our Celtic Faith in God most Hight
Dear Brigid of Kildare.
Be our soul-friend ever faithful
That we may not depart,
From Faith in Christ, just as you taught
From your own faithful heart.
Dear Brigid walk among us
As the friend you've always been
And help us to renew our Faith
And turn away from sin.
Let us not be troubled
Or left swaying like a reed
But return to our Celtic roots
And the Faith that is our creed!
