This is the fun part, along with viewing the pictures of past weddings celebrated here in the Poconos!
We have had the honor of meeting the most wonderful people over the many years we've been here. Couples come to be married for various reasons, some personal and some very practical. Some want a small wedding service with family and their closest friends, while others want their broad circle of friends with them as well. Much depends upon the couples' personal budget, and filling a large reception hall is often an overwhelming aspect of wedding planning because of the cost factor. Couples want to be welcoming to family and friends and celebrate their love with all in their lives, but the practical part of that can be inhibiting for many.
All too often these economic factors prompt couples to post-pone a marriage commitment, when they truly do want to make it. This need not be so. A marriage is a sacred relationship, and should not be placed second to the economic pressure of feeding a multitude of invited guests, at the expense of integrity and love that yearns to publicly committed.
Couples who come to the Poconos are not usually those who just run off, but those who carefully consider and plan their weddings with their priorities in order. Their love and marriage are first. Often larger celebrations, at home, follow the smaller ones that accompany the wedding ceremony. That is an option that puts the priority on the marriage commitment rather than the party itself and the financial limitations imposed on so many for such celebrations.
